La théorie comprend la formation sur ordinateur (CBT), la maquette d'un poste de pilotage, l'instruction en classe, la formation pratique et les examens, les limitations, les calculs de masse et de bilan, les performances (tableaux) du manuel de vol de l'aéronef (AFM) et la formation aux procédures opérationnelles.

Le cours MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation) ou Formation au Travail en Équipage (FTE) vous assure une formation réaliste tout en vous apprenant à piloter des avions multi-pilotes et multi-moteurs en IFR.

The practical part is done at the location of BAA Training partners on the ATR 72-600 FFS chosen before the start of the training. Each FFS session is comprised of 4 hours of flight training for a crew of two pilots. A minimum period of eleven days is required, and the training time is divided between Pilot Flying and Pilot Monitoring. The training consists of 7 training sessions, one Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) session, and a skill test (all in the FFS). A briefing starts one hour before the flight session, whereas debriefing lasts for one hour after the session.

If the pilot is not experienced, the training includes six touch-and-goes, one go-around, and one full stop; if the pilot is experienced, it includes four touch-and-goes, one go-around, and one full stop.
