ATR 42/72 Type Rating

Theory includes computer-based training (CBT), Mock-up of a flight deck, Classroom Instruction, practical training and examinations, Limitations, Mass & Balance Calculations, Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) Performance (Tables), and Operational Procedures Training.

The Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) course provides you with realistic training in operating multi-pilot, multi-engine airplanes under IFR conditions.

The practical part is done at the location of BAA Training partners on the ATR 42 or ATR 72 FFS chosen before the start of the training.

Each FFS session is comprised of 4 hours of flight training for a crew of two pilots. A minimum period of eleven days is required, and the training time is divided between Pilot Flying and Pilot Monitoring.

The training consists of 7 training sessions, one Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) session, and a skill test (all in the FFS).

A briefing starts one hour before the flight session, whereas debriefing lasts for one hour after the session.

If the pilot is not experienced, the training includes six touch-and-goes, one go-around, and one full stop; if the pilot is experienced, it includes four touch-and-goes, one go-around, and one full stop.
