The ground school consists of 16 hours of CBT (computer-based training) and 8 hours of theory in class:
- Introduction of jet aircraft
 - Differences between jet engine and piston engine
 - Basic principles of flying a specific aeroplane
 - Power concept
 - Systems familiarization
 - Automation
 - General handling and IFR flying in the jet environment
 - Precision and Non-Precision approaches
 - Checklist and Briefing philosophies as well as techniques
 - Mutual work and task sharing in the jet environment
 - Standard Operating Procedures
 - Cockpit Procedures Training (Mock-up)

The FFS/FTD session is divided into:
- Pilot flying (PF)
 - Pilot Non-flying (PNF)
 
If JOC training is combined with MCC or Type Rating, it only will take 4 hours to complete.
