Volotea Cadet Program?
The Volotea Cadet Program is a comprehensive, competency-based Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program designed for aspiring pilots pursuing a career in commercial aviation. It provides a structured pathway to becoming a qualified A320 First Officer with Volotea.
The program consists of several key training phases:
- 1. Theoretical instruction to build foundational aviation knowledge.
- 2. Flight training on single-engine aircraft to develop fundamental piloting skills.
- 3. Multi-engine flight training using an FNPT device to enhance advanced handling and operational capabilities.
- 4. A320 full-flight simulator training to ensure cadets are proficient in airline operations and ready for real-world commercial flying.
Successful applicants receive a conditional offer of employment from Volotea before starting their training. This guarantees a pathway to a First Officer position, provided they meet the required performance standards throughout the program.

At Lleida-Alguaire International Airport, students train on the reliable Cessna 172S, an aircraft that surpasses other models with its modern Garmin G1000 avionics. This system provides easy-to-read displays, enhancing student confidence and instantly improving situational awareness. Our training is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with current aviation standards.
The MPL program dedicates a significant portion of training to full flight simulators, preparing students for the demands of real-world flying. This focus on simulator training—at BAA Training, for example, students spend 60% of their program time in simulators—develops safety-conscious pilots ready to handle any emergency.
