DAY
1
Depending on the number of hours you have built, your Base training will consist of 4 or 6 landings plus one go-around and full stop landing. The full stop landing is completed under the supervision of a Type Rating instructor qualified to do Base training or an unrestricted TRI and a safety pilot.
Important to note:
- The training takes one day, and students usually arrive at the location the day before;
- Weather conditions are very important as they are stricter than general weather requirements in commercial aviation;
- Summer periods are difficult due to the busy season and winter periods are difficult because of weather conditions;
- Base training is done in groups of 4.
