Dispatcher

We’re looking for a Flight Dispatcher to join our team in Lleida, Spain. You’ll be working closely with colleagues at our BAA Training centre to support smooth and safe training flights for Ab Initio students.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and supervision of flight school operations. It’s a hands-on role in a dynamic training environment.

BAA Training has offices in Vilnius (Lithuania), Barcelona and Lleida (Spain), Paris (France), and Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam). We promise a highly challenging field and wide scope of responsibilities, which will initially cover:

  • Organizing daily flights based on planning priorities
  • Ensuring flights are prepared, cleared, and monitored according to aviation rules and company standards
  • Tracking student progress, updating results, and informing relevant departments
  • Monitoring aircraft flight hours and updating records before scheduled inspections
  • Coordinating with the Maintenance team to ensure aircraft availability
  • Managing and scheduling instructor working time
  • Supporting ground handling operations for the fleet
  • Providing dispatch support: flight planning, flight watch, weather checks, and airport condition monitoring
  • Communicating with all relevant teams to support smooth operations
  • Analyzing factors that may impact flights—such as weather, ATC limits, aircraft performance, or cancellations
  • Determining fuel amounts for each flight
  • Using internal IT systems to manage and monitor flight operations
  • Participating in daily meetings based on Lean principles
  • Setting and working toward goals aligned with the company’s strategy
  • Working in shifts, including weekends and public holidays (40 hours per week)
  • Performing other tasks assigned by your manager
  • Working according to approved company processes
  • Working with company’s IT systems to monitor and ensure a smooth flight planning process
  • Participating in daily meetings based on Lean principles
  • Setting and achieving short-term and long-term goals in accordance with the company’s strategic goals
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities assigned by direct manager
