STANDARD TRAINING
You will complete theory and flight training one after another. This allows you to build a thorough understanding of the theoretical foundations before transitioning to practical flight experience.
The BAA Training Cadet Program is designed with a clear purpose: to prepare a student for employment as a commercial airline pilot. No previous aviation experience is required to join the training.
We, as an academy, are committed to connecting high-performing students with real career opportunities. Upon completing your training, we’ll arrange up to 2 job interviews with our airline partners within 6 months—it’s your job to excel in your studies, and we’ll open the doors to your future career. While other cadet programs may offer airline pathways, the BAA Training Cadet Program stands out with our solid network of 5+ partner airlines across Europe, all actively seeking qualified pilots. We’ll ensure you have the chance to interview and showcase your skills to airlines that are eager to hire talented First Officers like you!
To ensure the process runs smoothly, we will assign a personal career coach to you who will guide you through the entire process from the day you start considering this opportunity until you receive your job offer.

ATPL theory
ATPL exams
HOURS 837
MONTHS 8-10
ATPL theory encompasses in-depth studies in subjects such as aviation law, aircraft systems, meteorology, navigation, and more. Additionally, this stage covers BAA Training school exams, AUPRT theory, Area 100 KSA, long briefings, and MCC theory. You are fully prepared for all 13 CAA exams essential to obtain a commercial pilot license, all of which must be taken at the same examination center.
VFR/NVFR flight training
HOURS 94
MONTHS 4
Visual Flight Rules (VFR) is a method and set of rules for flying aircraft by reference to the ground. Night visual flight rules (NVFR) are the visual flight rules under which a flight may be performed at night. You will practice on a glass cockpit Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft equipped with the G1000 avionics suite. Completing a skill test is required to progress to the next stage.
IFR – FNPT flight training
HOURS 37
MONTHS 1
Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) flight training teaches you to fly using the aircraft’s instruments instead of relying on visual cues. You will use an FNPT device to master this skill.
IFR – SEP flight training
HOURS 59
MONTHS 2
This module teaches to fly by relying on the aircraft’s instruments instead of visual cues while using a single-engine piston aircraft.
ME – MEP flight training
ME – FNPT flight training
HOURS 11 | 3
MONTHS 0.5
Multi-engine training teaches the multi-engine plane aerodynamics and other specifics of flying such type of aircraft. It is performed on both a multi-engine piston (MEP) aircraft and an FNPT device.
AUPRT – SEP/VFR training
MCC – FTD flight training
HOURS 3 | 16
MONTHS 0.5
Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training combines theoretical knowledge and flight training and teaches to prevent and recover from airplane upsets, situations in which an airplane unintentionally exceeds the parameters. It is performed on single-engine piston (SEP) aircraft under visual flight rules (VFR).
Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) course is competency-based training preparing to operate in a multi-pilot environment. The flight part of the course is performed on an FSTD device, while theory is studied in the classroom. We have additionally integrated Virtual Reality technology to this stage to enhance the training quality.
After initial training, every licensed pilot has a new milestone – acquiring a Type Rating and completing Base training. This step is crucial as it authorizes them to operate a specific type of commercial aircraft (such as Boeing or Airbus, etc.). Taking one of the all-in-one packages described above will reduce the total cost of your training.
TYPE RATING theory (incl. CPT)
4 tests & Final exam
HOURS 106 - 131
DAYS 18 - 20
The ground school training consists of computer-based training (CBT), theory and CPT/APT sessions. It also integrates Virtual reality (VR) technology that allows pilots to train more often due to the portability of VR goggles.
FULL FLIGHT simulator training
Type Rating skill test
HOURS 36 - 40
DAYS 12 - 14
The flight training on a Boeing or Airbus full flight simulator might take place in Vilnius, Barcelona, or Paris simulator training center.
BASE training
DAY 1*
The training involves at least six take-offs and landings to illustrate your fitness to operate an aircraft and takes place at an agreed airport on your chosen type – Boeing or Airbus.
