In both cases, you will receive a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), granting you the privilege to work in commercial aviation. This achievement is colloquially referred to as obtaining a ‘frozen ATPL.’ It remains frozen until you are eligible for a license upgrade from CPL to ATPL, essentially ‘unfreezing’ your ATPL theory. To qualify for this upgrade, you need to log at least 1500 flight hours (or as per specific airline policies).
